In 2020, our group of goalie coaches identified an unmet need in the Windsor-Essex community. The current offering of goalie clinics and hockey camps was not actually making athletes better.
Due largely to ice costs, it was necessary to have large numbers of kids on the ice at a time in order to pay for the ice and the instruction. This meant:
- Fewer Reps
- Less Individual Attention
- Minimal Improvment
We got tired of seeing 20 players on the ice with 2 instructors. We knew there was a better way.
In 2021 we constructed a space to include an ice pad large enough for skill development, but manageable enough to be able to provide an unprecedented athlete/instructor ratio at a cost that would make it accessible to everyone.
Today we’re proud to provide high quality on and off-ice instruction, as well as access to our ice for private gatherings, at a fraction of the cost of a municipal arena with private instruction.
